Gwen Chapman is Professor and Dean in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, University of Guelph. Gwen received her Bachelor of Science (Home Economics) from the University of Saskatchewan, and her M.Sc. and Ph. D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto.  She was a faculty in member in Human Nutrition at the University of British Columbia from 1991-2016, where she studied how everyday food practices are shaped by the social, cultural and physical environments in which people live. She was co-investigator of Think&EatGreen@School, a community-based action research project that worked to build Vancouver School Board students’ food literacy through hands-on whole food cycle education.
