Public Health Dietitian
Amy completed her undergrad at Brescia University College in 2007, masters and concurrent internship (MScFN) at Western in 2009. Since then she has been working as a public health dietitian at the Huron County Health Unit and works in a variety of different areas including family health, schools, chronic disease prevention, food security, food literacy and weight bias. Amy has been an active member of the Ontario Dietitians in Public Health (formerly OSNPPH) and a participant in the development of the Health and Wellbeing Philosophy Approach to Weight Position Statement. Amy is also a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH) and prefers to use a Health At Every Size® approach in her work. Amy is an advocate for preventing preoccupation with food and weight and helping children develop a healthy relationship with food, activity, and their bodies.
